Mr. Russel Miller

Hip, Knee and Shoulder Surgeon

Mr Miller is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the area of shoulder, hip and knee surgery. He graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed the Victorian Orthopaedic Training Program, joining the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. He then undertook a Fellowship in Cambridge, England, Oxford University where he completed a Master’s Degree in Biomechanics of the knee, followed by a Fellowship in Toronto Canada.

On return to Australia, he has practised as a consultant at Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Alfred Hospital. He continues as a senior orthopaedic surgeon at The Alfred Hospital where he is Director of Orthopaedic Training.

The Alfred Hospital is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading trauma centres and Mr Miller is actively involved in the management of trauma at The Alfred Hospital.

Outside of orthopaedics, he is a keen cyclist, sailor, snow skier and collector of contemporary art.
